Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (MTC) has announced a sponsorship of N$350,000 towards the preparatory committee of the 2025 Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF).

The announcement was made on Saturday, 5 July, reaffirming the telco’s ongoing support for platforms that promote economic activity.

MTC Corporate Communications Specialist Erasmus Nekundi said the company views the OATF as a key driver of economic growth.

“The Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair is a hallmark that presents the opportunity for economic stimulation and growth, offering business and entrepreneurs direct market access. This is a fair where at least over 400 exhibitors, corporates, entrepreneurs, and local small and medium enterprises, come to promote, market, and sell their product and service offerings,” Nekundi said.

“We have always recognised the invaluable economic value that the trade fair brings and its overall contribution to boosting the national economy. Hence, our uninterrupted support, year in, year out.”

Nekundi also commended the leadership of the Ongwediva Town Council and the OATF Preparatory Committee for maintaining a longstanding partnership with MTC.

“We are confident that the 2025 edition of the OATF is yet again going to be another resounding success,” he said.

The 2025 OATF is scheduled to run from 22 to 30 August under the theme “Innovate, Connect, Prosper.”
