Telecom Namibia has appointed Armando Perny as Acting Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Dr Stanley Shanapinda, while the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, Calvin Muniswaswa, and Chief Financial Officer, Sharidene Kisting, have also stepped down in a major leadership shake-up.

Perny’s appointment takes effect on 1 July 2026 and will run for one month while the board begins the recruitment process for a substantive Chief Executive Officer.

The company said Perny was selected based on his operational experience within Telecom Namibia and his understanding of the organisation’s strategic priorities.

The board also confirmed the resignation of Muniswaswa, effective 30 June 2026, and Kisting, whose departure will take effect on 30 September 2026.

Telecom Namibia said interim arrangements for the vacant executive positions will be announced in line with its governance and succession planning framework, while recruitment processes will commence in accordance with approved policies.

The company said the executive changes are intended to ensure operational stability and sound financial oversight during the leadership transition, adding that key management functions remain in place to maintain service delivery.

Board Chairperson Fimanekeni Petrus said the organisation remained focused on executing its strategic mandate despite the leadership changes.

“Telecom Namibia remains committed to operational excellence, sound financial stewardship, and the execution of its strategic mandate. Stakeholders are assured that the organisation’s leadership team continues to function effectively and remains focused on delivering value to customers, employees, and shareholders,” Petrus said.
