The award was bestowed upon President Geingob during the Africa Investment Earthshot Leaders Summit at COP28 in the UAE.

The summit also hosted the NDC Investment Awards, organized by Africa investor and sponsored by the Africa Green Infrastructure Investment Bank.

The NDC Investment Awards aim to acknowledge achievements in the main NDC sectors and recognize governments, institutions, and individuals contributing to transactions that enhance the investment readiness of Africa’s NDC projects.

These projects require a substantial US$3 trillion investment by 2030.
