Nedbank Namibia celebrated its annual Employee Top Achievers Awards ceremony at the Nedbank Campus, recognizing the outstanding performance and contributions of employees who made a significant impact on the bank’s success during 2022.
The theme for this year’s event was “We write the future,” highlighting the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving success.
During the ceremony, 15 award categories were presented, with the winners chosen based on their exceptional performance.
The awards ranged from individual accolades to team recognition, highlighting the importance of both individual and collective efforts in achieving success.
The Treasury Team was awarded the Top Sales Team category, while the Outapi Branch won the Top Branch Award. The Three Best Tellers of the Year Award went to Libertine Boois from Ondangwa Branch, Classen Sibongo from Rundu Branch, and Teresia Shikongo from Oshikango Branch. Sylvia Van Wyk won the Leadership Award, while the Finance Team took home the Top Team Award. The most coveted award of the night, the MD Award, was presented to Chane Isaaks, the overall achiever of the year.
Nedbank Namibia Managing Director Martha Murorua spoke about the significance of the event, emphasizing the bank’s commitment to investing in its people.
“We are passionate about investing in our people,” she said. “Not only do we provide best-in-class resources, but we also emphasize the importance of achieving balance between personal development and business growth.”
Murorua also urged the awardees to use their newfound knowledge and experiences to achieve greater heights in the future.
“As we honour you for your indomitable spirit and dedication, let’s turn today’s recognition into something lasting,” she said. “Use what you have learned over the past year and apply it going forward so that each milestone achieved becomes a steppingstone.”
