President Hage Geingob will this week rub shoulders with global business magnates such as Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote in Doha at the second annual Qatar Economic Forum.
The second annual Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg, convenes over 75 global business leaders and heads of state to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges, through the lens of the Middle East, will run from June 20-22, 2022.
President Geingob will hold bilateral talks with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He is also expected to join other global leaders such as Rwanda President Paul Kagame, Volkswagen AG CEO Dr. Herbert Diess, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Exxon Mobil Corporation Chairman & CEO Darren Woods, and President & CEO The Boeing Company David Calhoun. Geingob will use the occasion to pitch on Namibia’s green hydrogen initiative.
First Lady Monica Geingos and National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia Chairperson Jennifer Comalie will also speak during the two-day business event.
Strategically located in Doha, the Forum draws on Qatar’s ability to link Asia with Africa and beyond, as well as its position as a key global diplomatic hub, a leader in LNG energy technologies, and the home to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
