RFS Fund Administrators (RFS) has announced two appointments as part of its efforts to strengthen leadership and maintain high service standards in Namibia’s pension fund industry.
Vincent Shimutwikeni joined RFS on 1 June as Manager: Legal Support, bringing extensive experience in governance, legal compliance, and retirement fund policy.
Shimutwikeni holds a Baccalaureus Juris (B.Juris) degree, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and a certification in Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
He previously worked at the University of Namibia and served as a trustee of the Universities Retirement Fund (UNIREF), where he developed a particular interest in pension law and long-term investment strategy.
His appointment is expected to support RFS’s work in promoting inclusive financial planning and sustainable retirement solutions.
In a related development, Veueza Virginia Kangueehi has been appointed as Senior Manager: Benchmark Fund Accounting.
Kangueehi joined RFS in 2016 after gaining industry experience at Alexander Forbes and now steps into a senior leadership role with over a decade of experience in the pension fund sector.
She holds an Honours degree in Business Management and a Bachelor of Technology in Accounting and Finance, and is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Development Finance.
RFS Managing Director Marthinuz Fabianus said the appointments form part of the company’s ongoing investment in skilled professionals who can drive the organisation forward.
“Both Vincent and Virginia exemplify the values of dedication, integrity and innovation that define our approach to fund administration,” Fabianus said.
He added that Kangueehi’s promotion reflects RFS’s commitment to developing internal talent and supporting gender representation in leadership.
According to the company, building a capable team remains a key priority to meet the changing needs of its clients and to contribute meaningfully to the growth of Namibia’s financial services sector.
