The governing body is the second-highest decision-making entity within AFCAC, representing the interests of SADC Member States and the African continent as a whole.

AFCAC, a specialized agency of the African Union, plays a crucial role in overseeing civil aviation across Africa.

It is also responsible for implementing the Yamoussoukro Decision, which serves as the foundation for the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).

“This significant achievement highlights Ms. Sem’s dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to advancing aviation safety, security, and sustainable aviation. Her leadership and vision are poised to play a transformative role in shaping the future of aviation on the continent,” the NCAA said.
