Engen Namibia partners Galito’s, plans outlet expansion

Engen Namibia has partnered South African fast-food outlet, Galito’s to diversify product offerings at its service stations nationwide. 

The strategic collaboration, according to Engen Namibia’s Managing Director Jean-Blaise Ollomo, aims to seamlessly integrate Galito’s culinary mastery with Engen’s expansive network of service stations, promising a synergy that benefits both entities. 

He further disclosed future expansion plans with Galito’s, including the imminent opening of a new store at the Engen Service Station at Swakopmund.

“The goal is to enhance the overall customer experience by combining Galito’s renowned culinary expertise with Engen’s extensive network of service stations and to leverage each other’s strengths and expand our product and service offerings in the Namibian market, thus creating a mutually beneficial collaboration,” he told The Brief.

Discussing the decision to partner with Galito’s, Ollomo said “we have taken another step in the direction of providing excellent service and products. It’s a brand that shares our commitment to quality and excellence”.

“Furthermore, the potential for Galito’s to leverage Engen’s extensive network of service stations to reach a broader customer base.”

This comes as the duo recently launched their first shop at the Engen Precision Fuel Station in Windhoek.

Addressing the scope of services and offerings resulting from this partnership, Ollomo emphasised, “with Galito’s, we’re taking a step further in offering our customers delicious and wholesome food options at our service stations”.

The collaboration between Engen Namibia and Galito’s follows a trend in the industry, with other partnerships such as fuel retailer Puma Energy partnering with OK Foods to launch a network of convenience stores branded OK Express.

Similarly, Vivo Energy Namibia launched its partnership with Chicken Inn and Pizza Inn at selected Shell sites countrywide and in 2021acquired the Namibian business of fast food outlet, KFC.
