The highly anticipated Namibia Women in Finance and Insurance Summit (NWFIS) is back for its third year and set to take place from the 26th to the 27th of October, 2023.

The 2023 summit which has cemented itself as a prominent platform for championing and empowering women in leadership roles within the financial and insurance sectors, is set to be co-hosted by NamibRe and Bank Windhoek.

The summit aims to build upon the successes of its previous editions by further advancing gender diversity, equality, and inclusion within the financial and insurance sectors.

The event will be held under the theme “Sustainable Finance and Responsible Insurance: Women Pioneering Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Practices,” aligning with the growing global focus on sustainability and responsible business practices.

“The finance and insurance sectors play pivotal roles in driving positive change, and this theme explores the intersection of women’s leadership, sustainability, and ESG considerations in these sectors.”

The event is not only a platform for exchanging ideas and networking but will also be used to launch initiatives that support and empower young female leaders through collaboration with well-established programs and global platforms.

“We are excited about the upcoming NWFIS event. This year’s theme reflects the changing dynamics in our industry, and the summit will provide an invaluable platform for thought leaders, industry experts, and aspiring female leaders to come together, exchange insights, and collaborate on fostering sustainable and responsible practices,” said NamibRe Managing Director Patty Karuaihe-Martin.

The Brief Media is a proud partner of NWFIS to amplify the voices and stories of women in finance and insurance.
