The Bank of Namibia has appointed Lloyd Londt  to the position of Finance and Administration Director and member of the central bank’s senior management team.

Londt, a Chartered Accountant (CA) by profession, was previously Head of Reporting and Investor Relations at Standard Bank Namibia and Group Financial Manager at Old Mutual Namibia.

He has over 16 years of experience in auditing, accounting and business administration with some of the country’s largest corporations, mainly in the financial services sector and international experience, having worked for Deloitte’s Energy and Resources sector in the United Kingdom during his formative years.

Londt’s areas of expertise include finance, management, International Financial Reporting Standards, auditing, business administration, management accounting, basic behavioural and emotional finance analysis, communication, facilitation and training.

Bank of Namibia Deputy Governor, Ebson Uanguta welcomed the appointment, noting that it comes as the Bank continues to execute its 2022-2024 Strategic Plan.

“We have lofty ambitions to digitally transform our operations to meet demands and be a future-fit central bank committed to Namibia’s prosperity. Lloyd will be responsible for delivering maximum value for the Bank’s resources and ensuring that we continue to operate cost-effectively to meet our mandate. With him on board, we are in a good position to do so,” he said.
