The Capricorn Group has announced the appointment of Gerhard Fourie as Chairperson of the board with effect from the 1st of January 2022.
Fourie replaces Johan Swanepoel, whose tenure as Chairperson of the financial services group’s board ended on the 31st of December 2021.
Fourie, a Chartered Accountant by profession, has served as the Lead Independent Director of Capricorn Group since November 2016.
Swanepoel will remain an Independent Non-Executive Director of Capricorn Group and will continue to serve as chairperson of Bank Windhoek Limited.
The lead independent director position will be filled by Daniel Kali with effect from 1 January 2022.
