Maggy Shino has won the Africa’s Legend Award at the recently held Africa Energies Summit in London.
Shino, the Petroleum Commissioner at the Ministry of Mines and Energy , emerged victorious among other industry experts, including Egbert Faibille Jnr from the Petroleum Commission of Ghana, Phil Birch from Impact Oil & Gas, Henri-Max Ndong-Nzue from TotalEnergies, and John Ardill from ExxonMobil.
The Africa Energies Summit’s longest-running African-focused energy awards were established to honor outstanding individual and corporate contributions to the continent’s energy sector.
Prior to the Africa Energies Summit, a panel of peers shortlisted the “Big Five” finalists, and during the three-day event, delegates had the opportunity to cast their votes for each category winner.
The Africa Energies Summit serves as a unique gathering for Africa’s energy industry, facilitating an exchange of ideas and insights among companies actively involved in the continent’s energy sector. Maggy is also the recipient of the Global Women Petroleum & Energy in Africa 2017 Award ,which was bestowed upon her at the 9th Global Women Petroleum & Energy Club for Africa.
