Bank of Namibia meets incoming Bank Windhoek MD

Standard Bank Namibia Holdings has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Mercia Geises, will be stepping down from her position effective from 1 August 2023.

The surprise move, was announced via a statement on the Namibian Stock Exchange.

Geises, who took over from Vetumbuavi Mungunda in 2021, had been with the bank for seven years in various capacities. During her tenure, the bank reported its highest-ever profit of N$624 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2022.
