Information Minister Dr. Peya Mushelenga has appointed a new board of directors for the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN).
The new board will be headed by Prof. Tulimevava Mufeti and supported by Elvis Nashilongo, an executive from the Government Institutions Pension Fund, as the deputy chair.
The other members of the board include Florette Nakusera from the Namibia Deposit Guarantee Authority, Jeanine du Toit, Gerhard Coeln, Alletha Haufiku, and Veiko Alexander.
The new board replaces the previous board, which was led by Heinrich Gaomab II, with Gerhard Coeln being the only member who has been reappointed.
The CRAN is responsible for regulating telecommunication services and networks, including broadcasting, postal services, and the entire radio spectrum.
