The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) has extended Charmaine Matheus’ tenure as acting CEO until January 31, 2025. Matheus, who initially assumed the role until August 31 this year, serves as NTB’s Head of Marketing.
She succeeds Bonnie Mbidzo, NTB’s Head of Business Development and Operations, who had been acting in the position since December 2023.
NTB has operated without a substantive CEO since the departure of Digu //Naobeb last year. //Naobeb had led the organization since 2007.
In addition to Matheus’ reappointment, NTB announced Renatus Neema as Acting Head of Business Development and Operations, and Martha Domingos as the new Company Secretary.
The NTB is a state-owned entity mandated to regulate and promote tourism activities across Namibia.
