Letshego Holdings Namibia has appointed Willem Pretorius as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 27 October 2025, the company said in a statement.
Pretorius, a Chartered Accountant (Namibia), has more than 11 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector.
He holds a BCom CA degree and a BCom (Hons) in Financial Accounting from North-West University, as well as a BCom (Hons) CTA from the University of South Africa.
He completed his articles with Ernst & Young in Windhoek and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2014.
Letshego said Pretorius’s appointment will bring continuity and stability to its finance operations, following his previous leadership roles at Letshego Bank Namibia, where he served as Acting Chief Financial Officer, Head of Treasury, and Finance Controller.
“Willem’s appointment brings continuity and stability to the finance function, ensuring a seamless leadership transition,” Letshego Holdings Namibia said.
“His deep institutional knowledge and proven expertise in strategic financial management position him to effectively lead the financial governance and regulatory compliance agenda across Letshego Holdings Namibia and its subsidiaries.”
The company said Pretorius will oversee the financial governance and compliance functions for Letshego Holdings Namibia, Letshego Bank Namibia, and Letshego Micro Financial Services.
“The Board and Management of Letshego Holdings Namibia extend their appreciation to Willem for his continued commitment to leadership and look forward to his valuable contributions in this new role,” the company said.
