Nedbank Namibia has announced the appointment of JG van Graan as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

In his new role, van Graan will oversee several key areas of the bank, including Retail Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Business Banking, SME services, Private Wealth, Nedloans, and the Treasury division. These functions previously operated separately.

“For me, this role is about making things easier and more connected for our clients. We want every interaction with the bank to feel seamless, supportive, and genuinely helpful,” van Graan said about the appointment.

Van Graan has held several senior positions within Nedbank Namibia, including Chief Financial Officer and Executive of Retail and Business Banking.

During his tenure, the bank focused on improving client engagement, responsiveness, and customer-driven innovation.

In 2023, van Graan completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD, a global business school.

The following year, he was recognised with the Managing Director’s Award at Nedbank Namibia’s Top Achievers’ Awards for his contribution to the business and positive influence on the bank’s culture.

Nedbank Namibia said van Graan’s experience across both the financial and operational sides of the bank positions him well to lead the integrated commercial portfolio.
