Nangolo Mbumba sworn in as Namibia’s President , Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah appointed VP

Vice President Nangolo Mbumba has been sworn in as the country’s fourth President, following the death of President Hage Geingob on Sunday.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at State House in Windhoek.

“I will only be serving Dr Geingob’s remaining term of office,” Mbumba said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has been appointed the country’s first female Vice President
