Standard Bank Namibia Holdings has announced the appointment of Elizabeth du Toit as Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective from 18 August 2023.

Du Toit, who currently holds the position of Head: Financial Accounting in the listed company, has received regulatory approval for her appointment, which will last for a period of six months.

The appointment follows the resignation of Letitia du Plessis as Chief Financial Officer in May.

“In reference to the related announcement issued on 12 May 2023, notifying shareholders that the company had initiated the recruitment process for the CFO position, subject to regulatory approval, the appointment of Elizabeth du Toit now fulfills this role on an interim basis,” the banking group said.

Moreover, Standard Bank currently has Nelson Lucas serving as Acting Chief Executive since 24 May 2023.

The appointment is also valid for a period of six months, in response to the unexpected resignation of Mercia Geises.

Nelson Lucas concurrently holds the position of Head of Corporate and Investment Banking.
