The tourism sector in Walvis Bay is expected to receive a boost after Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced its upcoming World Cruise for 2026, which will embark on a 154-night voyage across 41 countries and six continents, including a stop at the Port of Walvis Bay.
This marks the luxury cruise line’s longest World Cruise to date, and it is set to depart from Port Miami in Florida on January 10th, 2026, aboard the Seven Seas Mariner vessel.
The itinerary will include stops at 77 ports of call, with three new destinations for the cruise company, including Maré Island, Lifou Island, and Waingapu (Sumba), Indonesia.
“The Sense of Adventure” is the name given to the 154-night cruise, catering to luxury travelers seeking extended travel experiences to far-flung destinations,” Regent Seven Seas President Andrea DeMarco said.
Regent’s discerning guests will also have the privilege of visiting 47 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including stops at some of the most notable sites, such as the Monastery of Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve in Praslin, Seychelles, Robben Island in Cape Town, South Africa, and the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, Australia.
In addition to offering 431 complimentary shore excursions and 16 overnight stays, the itinerary showcases a selection of exotic destinations such as Bora Bora in French Polynesia, Darwin in Australia, and Walvis Bay in Namibia.
