FNB Namibia crowned Namibia’s Bank of the Year

The Banker Magazine has named FNB Namibia as the winner of the 2022 Bank of the Year in Namibia.

The awards aim to reward and promote industry wide excellence in the global banking community and international judges select only one winning bank for each country.

“The judging panel felt that the bank made the most progress over the 12 months; something which is not only in terms of the bank’s strong financials, but also in the wide range of initiatives which the bank undertook during this period,” The Banker Editor Joy Macknight said.

Receiving the prestigious Banker Award for FNB Namibia in London on Thursday, FNB Namibia CEO Erwin Tjipuka said “Years ago FNB started to win this ‘award of awards’, and to win it for 2022, for helping to build a globally competitive Namibia, for building the best support base for customers and being the bank that sees new potential in our beloved country, is an amazing way to end this year.”

FirstRand Namibia Group CEO Conrad Dempsey said “it’s our clients that inspire us to keep getting better at partnering with them, thank you! FNB Namibia recently refreshed their logo as a visible link to a refreshed positioning of intuitive help, help before you know you need it. It’s about doing what matters, when it matters.Helpful innovation, ease of access, safe banking, and meaningful action about client feedback, drives the excellence that wins awards. Well done FNB Namibia!”

This is the 10th time that FNB Namibia has received this award. The Banker Magazine is a monthly international financial affairs publication owned by The Financial Times Limited edited in London.
