Puma Energy has partnered with the Hungry Lion restaurant chain to offer quick-service restaurants at Puma Energy service stations, with the inaugural outlet under the partnership launched in Oshakati, with plans for additional outlets in Namibia and the rest of Africa in 2024.
“The event marked the birth of a new partnership between Puma Energy and the Hungry Lion restaurant chain—a partnership that will soon flourish across Namibia and other countries,” said Janet Sithole, Puma Energy Non-fuels Manager for Africa.
“At Puma Energy, we believe in giving our consumers a true convenience experience, and this partnership plays an integral role in this vision. It solidifies our commitment as corporate citizens to employment creation and energizing communities.”
Adrian Basson, CEO of Hungry Lion, stated that the Namibia store opening under the partnership exemplifies a great collaboration with Puma Energy. He hopes that this quick-service restaurant will be the first of many throughout Africa.
“Now everyone can see Puma Energy and Hungry Lion next to each other,” added Basson.
The restaurant in Oshakati created over 16 new jobs.
“We are excited to partner with Hungry Lion to provide our customers with extended offerings. They now have the convenience of getting a delicious and quick meal while refueling their vehicles, all under one roof,” said Adell Samuelson, General Manager of Puma Energy Namibia.
Puma Energy is a downstream company delivering accessible and diversified energy solutions to customers.
Hungry Lion opened its first store in South Africa in 1997. The food chain now operates a network of more than 300 stores across South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, Botswana, and Angola.
