FNB Namibia Retail has appointed Ziggy Muinjo as Head of Investments and Carpio Minnaar as Head of Operations as part of efforts to strengthen leadership and drive growth within its retail division.

Muinjo, an investment professional with over a decade of experience, previously held senior roles at the Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF), Rand Merchant Bank (RMB Namibia), and the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA Fund). He also worked within the FirstRand Group’s RMB division, managing liquidity and funding portfolios.

“I am excited to join FNB Namibia, a bank that continues to lead with innovation in the financial sector. Through a combination of technical expertise and leadership experience, I remain committed to strengthening Namibia’s investment landscape by building efficient, inclusive, and impactful financial solutions,” Muinjo said.

As Head of Investments, Muinjo will lead retail investment strategy, product development, and pricing to support long-term wealth creation and financial inclusion.

Muinjo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Economics and Banking from the University of Tizi-Ouzou in Algeria, an Honours Degree in Economics from NUST, and an ACI Diploma in Financial Markets from France.

He is also an alumnus of the Global Leaders Programme at GIBS Business School, University of Pretoria.

Minnaar, appointed as Head of Operations, brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic business optimisation, operations, and regulatory compliance from the banking, ICT, and telecommunications sectors.

He previously held senior roles at Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC), Nedbank Namibia, and MTN Business Solutions.

“FNB Namibia is at an exciting time in its growth journey. I look forward to leveraging my industry experience to help drive operational excellence and support the Bank’s commitment to delivering inclusive and customer-centric financial solutions,” Minnaar said.

As Head of Operations, Minnaar will oversee operational efficiency, data management, risk mitigation, and compliance, while supporting product development and enhancing customer service.

He holds a BCom Law degree and a Higher Certificate in Project Management from STADIO Higher Education, a Certificate in Banking from UNISA, and an IT Management Certificate from the University of Cape Town.

He has also completed a Compliance Certificate and a Certificate in Telecommunications Policy, Regulation, and Management from the University of the Witwatersrand.
