Jason Hailonga has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Momentum Investments.

He was previously CEO of the Namibia Savings and Investment Association (NaSIA), an industry body representing the majority of the country’s Asset Managers, Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) management companies, Linked Investment Service Providers (LISPS), and life insurance companies.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, with more than 10 years of post-articles experience in financial services, having completed his articles at Deloitte Namibia, he holds a B Com Hons (Chartered Accountancy) from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Namibia.

He has also completed a number of short courses on leadership, strategy, and governance.

He has served as an investment officer at Business Partners International, after which he spent some time at IJG Advisory Services, mainly focusing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, balance sheet restructurings, and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs).

While at IJG, Jason was involved in the IPOs of Letshego, Standard Bank, and MTC on the Namibian Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, Anchen Van Wyk has been promoted to Head of Legal and Company Secretary for the MMN Group, having joined the group as Group Regulatory Compliance Officer in November 2019.

She holds a Bachelor of Law from Rhodes University and is an admitted legal practitioner of the High Court of Namibia and a qualified conveyancer.
