Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) has reduced prices at its resorts and lodges for Namibians and those from the SADC region in order to boost domestic tourism.
NWR’s spokesperson, Nelson Ashipala, said the company is offering discounts of up to 50% at select resorts, with prices starting as low as N$ 295.
“NWR is introducing an unprecedented special offer, providing up to 50% off at selected resorts, including Ai-Ais Hotsprings and Spa, Hardap Dam Resort, Gross Barmen, Popa Falls, Namib Naukluft, and Waterberg,” he said on Thursday.
He said the special offer, which is valid from August 1, 2023, to October 31, 2023, will enable local residents and SADC citizens to explore the country’s tourist attractions.
“We are delighted to present this exclusive offer to our fellow Namibians. Our resorts are not just places to stay; they serve as gateways to explore and connect with the natural wonders of our beautiful country. Through this special offer, we aim to make it more accessible for Namibians to indulge in their favorite pastimes and create unforgettable memories,” Ashipala said.
Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) is a hospitality provider in Namibia, offering a diverse portfolio of lodges and resorts, while promoting sustainable tourism and preserving Namibia’s natural heritage.
The NWR initiative comes in response to a significant increase in travel expenses that Namibians have been facing, according to Simonis Storm. Prices have nearly doubled in May 2023 compared to the same period in the previous year, with holiday packages experiencing a year-on-year increase of 99.2%.
