Andrada Mining Ltd. said Thursday it had found significant pegmatite mineralization, as well as some lithium mineralization at its Uis mine in Namibia as part of its lithium and tantalum drilling program.

The AIM-listed mining company formerly known as AfriTin Mining Ltd. said that within the pegmatite intersections there were also notable lithium mineralization intersections.

The company said the results from the 14 holes it drilled showed the potential for lithium, tin, and tantalum mineralization continuing at depth.

Andrada said the higher lithium grades of up to 1.43% lithium oxide were particularly exciting as they support the early development of a lithium processing plant.

“The higher lithium grades of up to 1.43% lithium oxide are particularly exciting because they further demonstrate the unrealised potential of the V1/V2 orebody and support the early development of a lithium processing plant,” CEO Anthony Viljoen.

Andrada Mining is an African technology metals mining company with a portfolio of mining and exploration assets in Namibia.
