City of Windhoek extends Acting CEO’s term

The City of Windhoek has extended the term of O’Brien Hekandjo as Acting Chief Executive Officer by three months.

Hekandjo who is the Strategic Executive: Electricity was appointed Acting CEO in May, replacing Jennifer Comalie who had been acting in the role since November, 2021.

His reappointment comes as the city is still struggling to reach a consensus on the appointment of a substantive CEO following the exit of Robert Kahimise.
