The Sheya Shuushona Conservancy received a solar plant from the Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia, through the Fund’s initiative to empower community-based conservancies to adapt to climate change-resilient livelihoods and manage natural resources sustainably.  

Namibia was named first runner-up in the leading in progressive policies award category at the 5th Africa Tourism Leadership Forum and Awards in Botswana. 

Hospitality establishments in Northern Namibia recorded an occupancy rate of 57.9% in September ahead of those in the southern area (51.1%), coastal area (51.0%) and central area (44.6%), latest figures released by research firm Simonis Storm have shown.
