Namdia completes construction of oxygen plant

Namdia Foundation has announced that the construction of the N$4.073 million Mariental Hospital Oxygen Generation Plant has now been completed.

The plant, whose construction begun in August with an installed capacity of 500L according to the foundation, is expected to deliver 500L per minute of 93% to 95% pure medical grade oxygen.

The Oxygen Generation Plant whose construction was funded by Namib Desert Diamonds (Namdia) and one of its clients, SBMH Group DMCC from Dubai, is expected to provide much needed oxygen to health facilities in the region, reducing some of the pressure on our health system.

Namdia Foundation is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the government owned, diamond marketing and sales company.

In August, the Foundation, in close collaboration with Namdia’s clients donated N$7 146 328.62 to the Ministry of Health and Social Services towards the fight against COVID-19.
