Ongos in second connectivity deal

Paratus Namibia and Ongos Join have signed a pact to connect over 11,000 new residents in Ongos Valley with fibre.

Ongos Valley is an ambitious property development seeking to construct 24,000 properties, 21 faculties, parkways, greenways, and business centres. The planned development is situated 14 kilometres from Windhoek’s Central Business District, with mandatory fibre connectivity to be offered to each residence and enterprise.

As a part of the settlement, all Ongos Valley residents will obtain 1GB of free data monthly for the first five years of residence.

The Paratus agreement comes as Ongos Valley Development recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telecom Namibia.

The agreement, which was inked last month, will ensure that all telecommunications and ICT needs of Ongos Valley are catered for, be it fixed line services, mobile connectivity, internet, wireless, data management, fibre installation, surveillance, and connecting buyers to markets.
