The Minister of Higher Education, Training and Innovation, Itah Kandjii-Murangi, has announced the appointment of a new board for the Namibia Training Authority (NTA).
The board, which will serve a three-year term, will be led by Jerome Mutumba, an Executive with the Development Bank of Namibia, as chairperson. Ester Hoveka will serve as the deputy chairperson.
Other members of the board include Edward Kafita, Cliff Olivier, Elizabeth Kamutuezu, Tangeni Nghiwewelekwa, and Eva Fritz-Tomas. The new board replaces the previous board, which was led by Amon Ngavetene.
The NTA is a government agency that is responsible for regulating and facilitating the delivery of quality Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Namibia. With the new board in place, the government hopes to continue to improve and sustain the delivery of quality VET in the country.
