
The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) has appointed Sebulon Chiliho Chical as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2025.
Chical, who currently serves as the Director of Tourism and Gaming in the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism, takes over a position that has been vacant since the departure of long-serving CEO Digu //Naobeb last year. //Naobeb had led the NTB since 2007.
A seasoned business strategist with extensive expertise in the travel and tourism industry, Chical has played a key role in launching hospitality and tourism services and organizing major business events. He also brings executive management and boardroom experience, having held senior leadership positions and served on multiple industry boards.
Beyond tourism, Chical is a GALLUP Certified Strengths & Talent Development Coach and an Employee Engagement Expert. He has also worked as a moderator, negotiator, and public speaker.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MsM), a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, and a Diploma in Marketing Management. Additionally, he is certified in corporate governance and as a GALLUP Clifton-Strengths Coach.
Chical replaces Charmaine Matheus, NTB’s Head of Marketing, who had been serving as acting CEO.
