The German Federal Government has lifted all entry restrictions for residents of Namibia with effect from Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021.
Travel to Germany by Namibian residents is therefore again permitted for all travel purposes from this date.
For people who have reached the age of twelve, proof of a negative test, recovery or vaccination is required upon entry.
“With effect from 02 November 2021, Namibia has been placed on the German “positive list.”
This comes as the German Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in September removed Namibia from the list of high-risk areas, making it easier for Namibians to travel to Germany.
The move meant that vaccinated travelers who have been vaccinated with a vaccine approved in Germany, with valid proof of immunity can enter Germany for non-essential purposes as well, and without the need to undergo special registration, proof and quarantine requirements.
